Students at UAMS

Hall–West High School of Innovation has partnered with the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) to provide students in the Biomedical Science Pathway with meaningful, real-world learning experiences. Through this partnership, students have the opportunity to attend specialized workshops, participate in hands-on activities, and gain exposure to current medical practices. In addition, students are able to shadow medical professionals in a variety of healthcare settings. This experience allows them to observe daily responsibilities, learn about different medical careers, and understand the skills and professionalism required in the field.

Hall–West Engineering Pathway is a specialized program at Hall - West High SOI that focuses on preparing students for careers in engineering, technology, and innovation. Students in the program are required to complete three years of engineering coursework, where they learn skills such as problem-solving, design, teamwork, and using technology to create real-world solutions. In addition to their classes, students can participate in hands-on activities like robotics, where they design, build, and program robots while competing and collaborating with other students. The pathway combines strong academics with practical experiences to help students become creative, critical thinkers ready for college and future careers in engineering and related fields.

Our multiple academic, fine arts and extra-curricular programs create learning opportunities for well-rounded students capable of creating innovative solutions to real-world problems.
