Yesterday was a day full of creativity and inspiration at Carver! We celebrated International Dot Day with a bang, embracing the theme of making our mark and celebrating individuality.
Our students created amazing dot-inspired artwork in Mrs. Crowell's Art class yesterday, and it was incredible to see their imagination shine through every dot they painted, drew, and crafted.
A huge thank you to Mrs. Crowell for encouraging our students to dream big, think creatively, and organizing this event. And, of course, a big shout-out to our talented students for their amazing contributions!
Check out some of the highlights from our Dot Day celebration below. Here’s to making our mark and continuing to inspire each other every day!

Check out the Carver Fire Marshal crew for the 2024-2025 school year! We had a great meeting and even planned out our roles for the first drill next week. Thank you Mr. Cooper for organizing this for our school! We are looking forward to a fantastic year ahead!

📅 Just a reminder that all Little Rock School District schools and offices will be closed Monday, September 2nd, in observance of Labor Day. Enjoy the long weekend, and we’ll see everyone back on Tuesday!

Last week, Ms. Ezell's math lesson focused on understanding volume. Her 5th grade students used cubes to learn how much space each cubic centimeter occupies.

Ms. Morgan, our media specialist, spent last week introducing students to the library. Before they checked out books, students played a game on Lumio to test their knowledge of the library.

Makerspace, one of our STEAM electives, is taught by Ms. Higgins. In this class, students can unleash their creativity to build unique contraptions and explore science, engineering, art, and technology.

Our Vex Robotics team has already begun building robots and coming together as a team. A big thanks to Mrs. Maupin and Mrs. Shields for coaching, and to Ms. Jackson for organizing everything last week!

Last week, we celebrated a very special birthday by surprising our principal, Mr. Williams, in the cafeteria. The entire school joined in to sing to him and wish him a great day. Happy Birthday, Mr. Williams!
