What a wonderful day of celebration. The Chicot Cheetah Holiday Spirit was in full force with Pajama Day and Polar Express/Classroom Celebrations! Smiles, food, fun, and laughter filled the building. Take a peek a just some of the festivities! We ❤️ our Cheetah Scholars! Happy Holidays!

🎶 Today was Day 7 of the LRSD Holiday Performances! Dunbar Magnet Middle School Choir and Band, along with our “Chicot Stars” in 2nd and 5th grades performed. This was one of Chicot’s three performances today! Our scholars did an excellent job representing our school and spreading holiday cheer in person and via live stream at our LRSD Administration Building. Way to go scholars!

There are only three more Winter Dress Days before break! Tomorrow, Wednesday, Dec. 18th, is Dress like Santa or Santa's Helpers! We can't wait to see who you choose!
Winter Dress Days are still going strong! Join us tomorrow, Tuesday, Dec. 17th, for Sweater Weather by wearing your favorite festive sweater! Also, at 5:30 pm, our Annual Winter Wonderland Event takes place. Listen to our choirs, participate in literacy activities, play math games, get a free book, and enjoy dinner.

Oh what fun it is to learn and celebrate at Chicot! Check out just a few highlights from our Holiday Dress Days this week. Even the Grinch stopped by to see our scholars in action during reading, math, and specialty classes. As the Grinch made his way through the classrooms and halls, seeing our scholars learn new things, the Grinch's heart was no longer two sizes too small! It grew and it grew just as our scholars do! Chicot is an amazing place, one that made even the Grinch find his special place!
Tomorrow, Friday, Dec.13th, we will Deck the Halls at Chicot! Wear your favorite festive accessory to celebrate the season. As you prepare for next week, review our schedule of winter celebrations.

It was a great weekend for the Chicot Cheetahs! Our basketball team 🏀 came away with another win. We are now 2-1 for the season! Our cheerleaders showcased their talents at half-time and at the SWLR Christmas Parade! Our basketball and cheer teams work hard in practice and at school everyday to exemplify our principles as a Leader In Me Lighthouse School! CHI-COT, Chicot is the place to be! 🐆 🐆 🐾 🐾
